Giron Siida is a small family business that was established in 2003. Giron is the word for ptarmigan in the Sami language. It is a small, light and alert bird – a metaphor for our flexibility. Siida means extended family.

We want you to feel at home, as if you were a part of our family. Our groups are small and manageable. Our kind, skilful and thoughtful guides will take good care of you. They have local knowledge and cultural competence.

We are experts on reindeer and Sami culture, and everything that goes with it. We have excellent knowledge about the countryside, weather conditions, Sami places, Sami culture and history etc. We sure have a lot of experience about the mountain area, the forests and reindeer herding.
